If you’ve been following me on social media you’ll know that last fall we purchased our “forever” home in Gilbert, Arizona. It was a really fun process but also very stressful and nerve-racking. One of the things that were non-negotiable to me was the neighborhood we would be living in. We’ve lived in Gilbert, Arizona for the last two years and it was where I wanted to stay! Knowing where we wanted to live made it a little easier for us to narrow down the homes we were looking at.
I couldn’t imagine not knowing what neighborhood I wanted to purchase a home in and adding that to the stress of finding a home. Finding the right neighborhood to live in is so crucial when buying a home. So, I’m partnering with Neighborhoods.com to share all about my neighborhood, Gilbert, Arizona. Meet My Neighborhood is an online resource that helps people find the perfect neighborhood to plant their roots.

There’s so much I love about Gilbert, Arizona. I love that it feels like a quiet town with big city amenities. It’s also close to so many other amazing cities like Scottsdale and Phoenix. Gilbert has an emerging downtown scene with so many fun shops, restaurants, and nightlife. The food scene is Gilbert is also changing and growing. We’re seeing so many local and unique restaurants pop up. I love it! Gilbert is also such a great place to raise kids. There’s endless parks, indoor activity centers, and kid-friendly restaurants.
One of my favorite places to go in Gilbert is the Barnone and Argitopia area. Barnone is an old barn that was turned into a local vendor community. There are cute shops and yummy places to eat and drink inside of it. Next to Barnone is The Farmstand where you can get tons of fresh produce and eggs from the farm. As well tons of pantry items from amazing local vendors. There’s also a local farmers market every Wednesday. On the other side of Barnone is The Coffee Shop, which has amazing coffee and yummy pastries/eats. There’s tons of grass and seating to hang out and enjoy a full afternoon here.
I’ve also compiled a list of a few of our favorite places in Gilbert to check out:
- Downtown Gilbert- there’s so many local shops, coffee shops, and good restaurants
- Frozen Creamery- one of our favorite local ice cream shops
- Jakes Unlimited- a fun indoor amusement par
- KTR- an indoor trampoline park
